		<description>Wow! Apparently someone didn&#039;t clean the wax out of their ears that night.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The 2 are not directly related. To clarify, I was discussing the ineffectiveness of HFH and how it doesn&#039;t even scratch the surface of the affordable housing problem in Charlotte.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The &quot;manhole cover&quot; regulation was just ONE EXAMPLE out of hundreds of outdated construction regulations that drive up the cost of housing.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;There isn&#039;t a conspiracy per se. Just a &quot;good ol&#039; boy&quot; system between CharMeck politicians and the construction industry.  They are happy the way things are, and won&#039;t change anything that would disturb existing business arrangements.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The politicians support moronic things like HFH because it gives them the opportunity to publicly pretend that they care about poor people.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;This isn&#039;t anything new.
