Y’all don’t even vote for your own seven term Mayor? Wow. This is why I hate straight ticket voters. Don’t expect 485 to be finished…ever. Light rail? That sounds like it belongs in NewBern.
Of course the Epic Win category belongs to Barack Obama (and Joe the Vice President). I’m so buying a special addition newspaper to give to my grandkids.
On another note, does anyone else feel sad for John McCain. He is a great senator and a hell of an American. Wish 2000 had gone differently, but no complaints about last night.
No matter what you feel about any of the candidates, you cannot deny the enormous amount of time, dedication, and heart put in by campaign workers nationwide. Many worked long hours and weekends for little pay and no benefits, and in this faltering economy, I think we can all sympathize. Thank you to everyone for making this one of the most memorable elections of our lifetime. (this shout-out is for you, Gabby!)
