Since it was FREAKING BEAUTIFUL yesterday, I slept with my windows open. Initially I had the blinds closed so that assorted creepos wouldn’t catch me in my PJs. But with the wind and cars passing by below, they were banging against each other and driving me crazy. So I turned off my night light and pulled them all the way back.

Fast forward to approximately 4:15 am. I wake up to screeching tires and car doors slamming. I roll over and look out the window to see a woman, in almost nothing, stumble out of the driver’s seat. She’s screaming something like “I can’t do it, I can’t f*ing do it anymore”. There’s someone in the street that she’s talking to but that person is inaudible. I want to get closer to listen but feel like if I get down from my bed then they will definitely see me. Yes, I said get down from my bed. Yes, I have bunk beds. Yes, I am cool. At this point she’s yelling “I’m a woman, I’m a woman.” I go back to sleep. I love living in uptown.

Whenever I need to add a smile to my day, for an afternoon pick me up, or those occasions when I’m ready to explode like Mount St. Helen – I watch good old David Thompson for a laugh and some perspective. Today was one of those days.

But I got a pleasant surprise when I was getting my usual LOLz: the trailer for Rogue Helicopter Pilot the movie. A Charlotte blockbuster in the making…

Seriously Charlottans: watch classic David here and then watch the Movie Trailer here. You will laugh all the way from the Magnolia tree to the property line.

Afterthoughts

i’m going to see Chicago tonight. Get on the blumenthal email list if you aren’t already, the Charlotte fam (nines, corbers, ghost hunter) scored mezzanine seats to tonight’s show for 20 bucks a pop.

This weekend, the Panthers improved to 8-2 against now 0-10 detroit – but John Fox still blames the team for turning his hair gray. ummm, i don’t think it was them. I would blame the men’s room. The canes also get to say “a win is a win”. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the 49ers, who lost in a nail biter against Old Dominion. Yea, I know. Sad. (oh and for you other sports fans – JJ made history and the bobcats still suck)

Charlottans please note: wearing all one color is not a good idea. But, then again, it could get you a date.

Who is Porn Student?

In an effort to be the best blogger I can be, I spend a lot of time lurking around the Charlotte Web. And I keep noticing the same name in the comments of some of the Observer’s blogs. Porn Student. Okay, I thought, obviously spam. But the comments aren’t “oMg ur t0talli nt goin to b-leave 2 hawt coEds goIn WIlld 4 u clk hear” and are more like actual comments about the article like here. So I checked out the profile (the monkey pictures scares me) and Porn Student has two blogs: Porn Studies and Porn Student. I’m not going to link to them because I already made the mistake of clicking on them, and they are nothing but porn recommendations. Interesting for a person who listens to Miles Davis and favorite movie is West Side Story. I’m intrigued at who this zen loving, blog reading, and porn aficionado could be. Anyone with information is encouraged to email me.

I’ve posted a link to it before, but I think you should all know that perusing Craigslist is one of my favorite passtimes. It is an endless source of ridiculous entertainment. It also helped me sell furniture and land my first law job. But mostly, it is great for the ridiculousness/fearing for humanity/feeling better about yourself.

I enjoy the m/w, w/m, m/w/w, and m/t most of all, especially the trannies! But since my mom occasionally reads this blog (when she can figure out the interwebz), I’ll keep the laugh links limited to the always creepy Missed Connections.

Today’s MCs make me giggle.

Obviously the poster doesn’t have a strong grasp of the english language or his keyboard. Plus the fact that he had two missed connections with two different people on the same night just reeks of skeeviness. He also seems like a pretty needy shopper – major red flag. I would be pissed if I was the girl that works at Guess. She obvi wasn’t pretty enough to get a card.

I’m going to go ahead and cross off Northlake Mall from my list of places to meet men in Charlotte.
